Fall rehearsal venue

I've just received word that our fall rehearsals will again be at Friends Academy in Dartmouth. (See right column for a link to the map.)

There may be an issue with one date, but it's too early to know if that's the case. For now, I am happy to see that we'll be in the same place as last year.

(Reminder: lighting is an issue at Friends. Why not get a clip-on light in advance of those rehearsals? The one linked just below works pretty well.)

Information on scores: fall and spring

As many of you sang Messiah last year, we welcome you to use the same edition. A corrected version will also be available in the coming months. (Most of you wrote in any corrections last year.)

The Zelenka edition is currently being prepared. I'll be in touch when that's ready to go.

Finally, for the chorus women, the Holst (May concert) is available freely online. We will have print versions ready in the fall for those who need it. Click here to view the score. Meanwhile, feel free to print this out the score (it's only six pages) and look at it with the YouTube video here.

(Please note that the Holst is for double chorus. The specific voice designations are listed at the start of the score. There is no text, and the sung vowel "u" as in "sun." We will probably modify that vowel for the higher registers.)
